ERIN TESAR – COACH OF THE MONTH FEBRUARY
is hereby recognized as February Player of the month club-wide for FRANKLIN COUNTY UNITED VB
Coach Erin Tesar is a very compassionate coach. She consistently demonstrates her commitment to making individual players and the team to be the best they can be.
She is open to younger players attending her practices, which shows her focus on developing skills in all girls.  She has been very generous in sharing gym time she secured at Union Middle School with the 16s team this season, and she maintains excellent communication with those coaches regarding any schedule changes.  She brings considerable volleyball experience to her coaching but continues to look for new and creative drills to aid in the players’ skill development.
She is generous with her time and efforts – she assisted in tearing down equipment after the FC Tournament was held at UHS and provided centerpieces for the FC Trivia Night.  Her contributions and help at Trivia Night was above and beyond what the club requested. The amount of help and positive attitude was much appreciated.
Erin stays in touch with her fellow coaches to ensure everyone is kept up to date with developments in the club, and she keeps her parents well informed too. Thank You Erin for all that you do. We appreciate you!

ELLA COPPINGER – PLAYER OF THE MONTH FEBRUARY
is hereby recognized as February Player of the month club-wide for FRANKLIN COUNTY UNITED VB

Ella displays all the qualities you would expect in a player of the week. She is an all-around player. She is not afraid to ask questions and she always strives to be a better player. She not only pushes herself hard she also brings the best out of her teammates. She brings the best out of all of us. Ella was not only the coaches choice but also her teammates vote. Here are some of the things Ella’s teammates said about her:
Ella always tries her best to pick us up when we’re down in points and down on ourselves. She also hustles a lot and works hard everyday. Ella is a hard worker and can always keep everyone’s heads up during games while not giving up.
Ella always gives 110% and is positive and encouraging. She’s also worked really hard on blocking (which has made the back-row players’ lives much easier) and hitting to be one of our most aggressive front-row players.
Ella is always trying to work/play her best and she doesn’t get down when we are losing in a game. She always keeps a positive attitude. For all that you’ve given and the example you’ve set, it is our pleasure to present the player of the month award to… Ella Coppinger!

EMMA BRIGGS -PLAYER OF THE MONTH JANUARY
is hereby recognized as January Player of the month club-wide for FRANKLIN COUNTY UNITED VB
This month, the player of the month award goes to the player that achieved team and club dedication on and off the court.  She has not only shown dedication to her club volleyball team, but also to her other school sports team. In addition to a rigorous school and practice schedule and being a multi-sport athlete; she maintains a 4.0 GPA. We are proud of the effort and dedication this player has put into her athletic and academic success. Being a team player does not always mean that you are going to be on the court. This player has most definitely proven that this season and has shown great maturity in dealing with her situation. She was only able to practice with her team for the first few weeks of the club volleyball season until she was excused from play due to illness for at least one month. Even after being told by her coaches that she did not need to attend all the practices and that she should stay home and recover, she did not let being unable to play stop her. She has attended all the practices and tournaments, helping however and wherever she can.  She is seeing the game from a different perspective by watching from the side lines. Her coaches are 100% sure that while she is unable to play, she is still learning and absorbing knowledge of the game from the sidelines. For all that you’ve given and the example you’ve set, it is our pleasure to present the player of the month award to… Emma Briggs!

KENNY KING & LOUIE BOLLASINA COACH(ES) OF THE MONTH
is hereby recognized as January Player of the month club-wide for FRANKLIN COUNTY UNITED VB
They have only had 1 tournament so far, but the parents are impressed by Kenny and Louie… for starters most coaches have their own kids in the club but they don’t coach their kids. You can see the enthusiasm in their coaching. The girls they coach just love these dudes. There is a mutual respect on both sides and the coaches have high expectations of the girls but not unrealistic expectations. These guys are well organized keeping all the parents notified of everything that comes along the way. The communication is awesome.
Kenny knows the capability of his team and really pushes them to see their own potential. He is not afraid to raise his voice while still not belittling or disrespectful.
Louie Bollasina is an exceptional coach. Not only do the girls love him, and his extremely technical skills that he brings to the table, but also his integrity of coaching in all. You can’t put it past Louie to stay beyond his practice to help another team as well without even being asked. He lives in St Louis and travels to Washington to help these girls and the club.
These guys are firefighters and that alone deserves the utmost respect from all of us. Again, I cannot stress enough about how these men deserve recognition.
Thank You Kenny and Louie

FC United is happy to announce their extension into the Owensville area. We have teamed up with existing Owensville Elite VBC to provide a larger community of volleyball in order to benefit the two areas. By doing this players will have more scrimmage experience to prep for tournaments. Teams will be able to use each other players in the event of an illness or injury so there is no need to forfeit at games due to a shortage of players. Coaches will have more access to coaching tools, and in all a larger community to lean on each other. Please visit our “Owensville Team” tab to learn more.

FC United 14JS Team Donated to the St. Peters Church Food Drive – Our team collected approximately 150 cans for the food drive.  This was an idea that our parent volunteer Melissa Holtmeyer had for our girls. As a club and team we thought this was an excellent idea, so we set the plan in motion and ask the girls to bring cans to each practice.  We were overwhelmed with the response. This past Sunday, we went to the St. Peters Church on 5th street in Washington, MO and donated all of our items collected. This was a wonderful way for our team to give back to the community.
